Quick and Easy Mediterranean Recipes (February 2023)
This book is a 2 nd edition of my Ultimate Mediterranean Diet Cookbook which was released in 2015. When I was first asked to write this book by the publisher, I scoured all of the Mediterranean Diet books that were available at the time to find a book which included both the science of nutrition and the culinary arts, but I was not able to find one. I resolved to write a book that would have the history, lore, and a bit of memoir that I enjoyed in great cookbooks along with research on the Mediterranean diet and nutrition that would encourage readers to eatwith both health and pleasure in mind. I was sure to include recipes from all of the countries that dot the Mediterranean Sea, including family and fan favorites.
I purposely organized the chapters in this book according to the Mediterranean Diet Pyramid in order to highlight what to eat, why to eat it, and why it’s good for you. Unlike many other Mediterranean diet books which feature Mediterranean ingredients in American or English style recipes, the recipes featured in this book are easy and authentic – things that you could actually taste if you were in the Mediterranean region – and ones that will help you live a longer, healthier life while satisfying your palate.
